"I've never seen a border, but I hear they exist in some people's minds"

With this quote I set off on a journey across Europe, travelling to 18 borders so far. This ongoing project looks at physical & emotional borders of Europe, it attempts to show the space and places around such borders. Its initial motivation was the ongoing situation that has been the UK's decision to leave the EU. The project was awarded the Getty Prestige Grant, to help further fund the project.
